You have rightly declared demands which have been refused by the employer, the managers and the government. These demands, which are also presented in the text of your strike declaration, include:
1- Complete implementation and modification of the job classification plan,
2- Equalization of remuneration and bonuses with other steel companies,
3- Increase in salaries and bonuses due to galloping inflation and taking into account very insufficient salary levels,
4- The right of workers to create independent organizations (freedom of association)
Announcing these demands through the strike and the shutdown of production to achieve them is to show the presence and alignment of thousands of workers in front of the employers and managers who have based their lives and their survival on the exploitation of workers. Your authority and your power with the workers' uniforms and the resonance of your slogans have sent shivers through the body of capitalists and government institutions of repression. Employers and the government are trying to stifle the working class and make them obedient slaves of the capitalist system by exploiting and oppressing them.
We must know and learn that it is unity and struggle that leads workers to victory. In a country where the strike of workers to assert their rights is considered hostility and an act of war against God, in a country where the government, employers, police and justice form a single body against workers who attempt to obtain their rights, by whipping them and sentencing them to prison. In these conditions, protest and strike are an act of contempt. We warmly salute your bravery and courage and we support your struggle.

In order to advance their demands of today and those of tomorrow, workers have, more than anything, to maintain unity and fight for the founding of a class organization in their professions and to collaborate with other similar organizations. Eighteen thousand iron and steel workers in Isfahan and thousands of workers in the Iranian metal and steel industry should reflect on class unity and become a powerful pole in the class struggle. They should organize themselves into an independent union. The working class can only influence its destiny and its future through unity and organization. And the creation of an independent union is the first effective step towards a real and lasting union of workers.
If all workers in the metallurgical and steel industries including the Khuzestan Steel Complex and the Ahvaz National Steel Industrial Group and the Isfahan Steel Industry had established the "Independent Union of Metallurgical and Steel Industry" and that this union intervened in the fate of the workers, the government and the employer did not allow themselves to deprive workers of their rights so easily. The independent metal industry union would support workers against the arbitrariness, discrimination and class oppression of the employer and official institutions and yellow organizations that see themselves as the so-called guardians of workers' affairs. An authentic and militant organization is a real support for workers, strengthening real solidarity between them and encouraging them to take control of their destiny. This would also help train workers to achieve their immediate objectives and long-term goals.
As you stated in one of the paragraphs of your declaration, the working class must create its own class organizations for the betterment of its life, its social and political progress, and for political and economic liberation and the elimination of exploitation. One of these organizations is an industrial union or a union in various fields of activity, which must be organized and operate independently of government, employer, political parties and religious institutions.
We support all workers in the metallurgical industry, especially those in the Isfahan steel industry, and we emphasize class brotherhood.
