For the past 78 years, the people of Palestine have continuously been subjected to crimes of aggression by the Zionist occupation, a systematic oppression of ethnic cleansing, genocide, organised state terrorism, murder, embargo, land and property confiscation, destruction of infrastructure, apprehension and torture in prisons and detention centres, etc.

Since October 7, 2023, some of the most horrific and bloody massacres in human history have been committed by the racist and fascist Zionists, with support from the USA and its imperialist Western allies.

During this period, civilised humanity has expressed its principled position, rejecting the crimes and brutality of the occupation. People have taken to the streets in capitals and various cities around the world, supporting the just cause of Palestine and the oppressed Palestinian people against the genocide and aggressive war crimes committed by Zionists, and against the appeasement and tyranny of reactionary states in the region and the world siding with the organised terrorism, racism, and fascism of the occupying state.

The working class and all the deprived in the Middle East and North Africa, across all Arab and Maghreb countries and from all nationalities and progressive, democratic, and independent trends, are a crucial, important, and active part of the global workers movement alongside progressive and humanitarian forces worldwide, championing their duties in support the Palestinian people and victory for due freedom and human dignity of the people and workers of Palestine.

We, several workers’ unions and  organisations, and union figures support the Palestinian people in the Arab and Maghreb region, and in continuation of our efforts and steadfast principled positions in their support, and for ending the Zionist genocide and brutal aggressive terrorism being committed in Gaza and other Palestinian territories, as well as the vicious terrorist aggression targeting Lebanon and other areas in the region, and for the freedom, justice and the victory of Palestinian people, declare the establishment of the "United Workers’ Front for the Defence of the Palestinian People."

Our efforts are aimed at uniting the working class in the region and in the world to end the brutality of the Zionists, to put pressure on the regional and global supporters of its extremist fascist regime, and to defend the life and freedom of the oppressed Palestinian people, and their legitimate right to just and rightful struggle and resistance to the occupation with all available ways and means of struggle in attainment of the Palestinian people’ freedom, defeating the occupation, and establishing the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem, Al-Quds, as its capital.

Our sincere and continuous effort and struggle and in support of Palestinian people’s freedom is part of our broader project in the frame of united workers front to unite the working class against exploitation and the savagery of the capitalist systems, and for attainment of a prosperous and humane life, for a better life, for equality of women and men, and for ending all forms of racial, national and religious discriminations, and achieving desired peace, comfort, security, stability and development for the peoples of the world.

We strive with the strength of our unity and in cooperation with other organizations of the working class, independent of the governments of the region and the world, to highlight the strength of the working class, the firmness of its positions, and the resilience of its tireless experience, alongside the civilized, peace-loving people, and those struggling for freedom, democracy, and progress in the world.

The formation of this front - the United Workers’ Front - for us, as its founders, represents the first steps towards crystallizing and forming a broad workers’ struggle front in the Middle East and the region for the freedom of the Palestinian people, and the struggle against savage imperialism and its transnational institutions. To achieve this, we extend a hand of friendship, partnership and cooperation to all democratic and independent workers and trade union forces and organisations with a progressive and class-oriented vision in the arenas of struggle in their countries, in accordance with the fundamental provisions of this document - the founding statement of the United Workers’ Front - in defence of the Palestinian people, in defence of a better life for the working class and in strengthening the spirit of solidarity and broad unity for the general well-being, peace, comfort and security throughout the world.
